The Pilot
Captain Paul A. Pyfrom, a Bahamian born in Nassau in 1965, has had a passion for flying since
1985 when he began his aviation training in Canada. In 1987 he joined
American Flyers in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and it was at this time he acquired
his Multi-Engine Commercial License with Instrument Rating. A short while later
he acquired the U.S. Airline Transport License. In 1992 he had fun adding a
Seaplane License to his list of qualifications and in 1996 Paul spent much time
in preparation for passing his British Performance A and General Tech Exams
which then qualified him to join our National Airline, Bahamasair. He has been
through many Flight Safety Training programmes and continues to refresh his
skills.
Paul has over 8,000 hours under his belt, most of which were clocked up flying
over the islands of The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos and Cuba. At the start of his
career with Trans Island Airways he flew the Piper Aztec and Britten Norman
Islander. With Cleare Air Charters he flew the Navajo Panther converted
Chieftan and with Bahamasair he flew the Shorts 360 and the De Haviland Dash 8.
Paul is now very excited to be able to offer you a professional charter service with
his own company Take Flight.
The Plane
We have a Piper Aztec E model twin engine aircraft which comfortably seats 5 passengers. With plenty of leg room and large panoramic windows, you're guaranteed to have an enjoyable flight.
Our aircraft is maintained in the USA by FAA licensed A
& P mechanics in Fort Lauderdale. We spare no expense to ensure the safety of our passengers.
Our commercial insurance coverage enables Take Flight to charter to all the Bahamian Islands, the Turks & Caicos Islands and also into Cuba. Our aircraft is equipped with life jackets, and a raft for additional safety.
Baggage compartments are located both in the front nose compartment and in the rear, with a capacity limit of 150 lbs per compartment (depending on passenger loads).
It is always highly recommended you use soft bags when chartering small planes.
So come take a ride, sit back and enjoy the view.
